The Napoleonic Wars: A Global History is not quite a play-by-play account of Napoleon’s wars. Instead, it shows how the Napoleonic Wars were effectively a world war, with fighting across the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and parts of Africa. Very little of the world was entirely spared from their effects.
