A Universe from Nothing is a book in which Lawrence Krauss explores how it is possible that the universe could have essentially appeared from nothing, based on our current understanding of physics. It does not really answer the questions it purports to answer from a philosophical perspective, but from a physics perspective, it is worth looking into.
